The honest case for Keepsafe.

Keepsafe has operated at scale for years and documents AES-256 encryption at rest. Its account and encrypted backup service can reduce the chance that a user loses everything with a phone. It also offers a broader, mature product experience and multi-device account access.

Those conveniences require an account and service relationship. Keepsafe's support documentation says a new or secondary device receives an access code through the account email.

What Lockpic changes.

Lockpic has no identity account, provider cloud, app analytics, advertising network, or general internet permission. Its developer cannot see usage, send a reset email, or restore media from a server.

The trade-off is responsibility: the user must retain a recovery phrase and verified encrypted backup. Lockpic cannot compensate for a lost phone when that backup was never created.

Which should you choose?

Choose Keepsafe when

You value an established service, encrypted automatic backup, account recovery, and easier access from another device.

Consider Lockpic when

Your priority is avoiding an identity account and app network connection, and you are willing to manage recovery materials yourself.
